East Coast Conference

The Annual Conference on Soils, Sediments, Water and Energy has become the nation's preeminent environmental conference, attracting 600-800 attendees annually, including a wide variety of representation from state and federal agencies, environmental engineering, environmental consulting, industry, and academia. A strong and diverse technical program is developed each year in concert with a variety of educational, social, and networking opportunities. Equipment demonstrations and presentations augment the exhibit hall, bringing real world application to the technical theory presented in the sessions. Focused workshops provide attendees with practical information for immediate application. The conference promises to be an exciting opportunity for all those concerned with the challenge of developing creative, cost-effective assessments and solutions that can withstand the demands of regulatory requirements.

Health and Safety Measures/COVID-19

The conference will follow CDC, state, local, and venue Covid-19 safety guidelines for the duration of the conference.

We encourage and support the use of face masks while not actively eating, drinking, or presenting, regardless of vaccination status. Extra masks will be available at the registration desk. Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the conference venue.

UMass Amherst and the Murray D. Lincoln Campus Center are following HVAC best practices developed by the CDC and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Do not attend the conference if you test positive for Covid-19. Additionally, we ask that all attendees screen themselves daily for symptoms. Anyone experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 should test before resuming conference activities. Tests will be available at the registration desk upon request.
